DEAD POETS WORKSHOP: BLEEDING HEARTS
Now enrolling for February
For February, blush presents the BLEEDING HEARTS edition our DEAD POETS WORKSHOP. In this online workshop-seminar we will read DEAD POETS. The texts provided will focus on poets whose work has a particularly emotive edge. Reading list includes Federico García Lorca, Jack Spicer, Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, John Wieners, Frank Stanford, Alejandra Pizarnik & more.
Students will submit poems for feedback on a weekly basis, with optional writing prompts also provided. We will put our writing in conversation with the DEAD to better understand why were are even writing poems in the first place. Class meets on Tuesdays in February.

The popular MYSTIC POETS edition our DEAD POETS WORKSHOP returns for February! In this online workshop-seminar we will read DEAD POETS. The texts provided will be a wide range of visionary poets, adopting a broadly defined understanding of the term ‘mysticism.’ Reading list includes Mirabai, Mina Loy, Rumi, Harry Crosby, H.D., Storm de Hirsch, Emily Dickinson, & more. Students will submit poems for feedback on a weekly basis, with optional writing prompts also provided. We will put our writing in conversation with the DEAD to better understand why were are even writing poems in the first place. Class meets on Thursdays in February.
